Microsoft has killed the Xbox 360 Marketplace. They had previously announced that it was shutting down back in August and slashed the prices on a bunch of games just before the shutdown, and it just happened 30 minutes ago. To accommodate for the lack of an online store, they changed the layout of the dashboard for when you're online to remove any advertisements and greatly slimmed down the amount of shit on it. Now it looks depressingly empty.
It's honestly surprising that it lasted as long as it did. Nearly two decades of support is an impressive lifespan for a video game console. Still though, it's a shame to see it go.
