We truly live in one hell of a timeline. PewDiePie, one of the largest and most influential YouTubers, recently posted a video explaining that he switched to Linux, his reasons for doing so, the benefits he got from it, why it may not always the best choice for some people, and the fun he had ricing his laptop. He had already posted public screenshots showing neofetch running on his main computer as early as March, but I don't think anyone would have expected one of the largest users on the platform to make a video about an underdog of the operating system world. Hell, you'd be called fucking crazy if you told people in 2012 more than half the shit that's happened since then.
His approach to Linux was a lot like mine. I dipped my toes in it using some more beginner-friendly distributions like Linux Mint, then decided I wanted more control so I installed Arch, then had a lot of fun ricing the fuck out of it. While I personally don't like those tiling window managers or whatever they're called, he seemed to enjoy it enough to make his system look like the panel of a nuclear power plant. Impressive stuff, and you can tell he had a lot of fun with it.
