Going forward, you can now link your Discord account to your forum account. We want to incentivize people to at least join the forums and be aware that they exist. Joining the forums to use the Discord is not required. However, to obtain embed / file upload permissions, you now need to link your Discord account to the forums. Other benefits may come in the future by having the two linked together.
Below are the instructions for linking your Discord account to your forum account

Step 1
Click on your account at the top right of the forums. Click on Connected accounts
Step 2
Now, click on the "Associate with Discord" button. You will be redirected to a page to authorize the bot to see your account.
Step 3
You will be redirected back to the forums after authorizing it. You will need to enter the password for your forum account. Once you enter that, your accounts will be linked. You can confirm your status by refreshing the page
