The soundtrack for B3313 (a rom hack for Super Mario 64) is spectacular. Someone in the comment sections mentioned that the way existing tunes are mixed and matched with others resembles that of a dream or rather a nightmare, much like the rest of the hack. When you're sitting in front of a CRT playing the hack yourself or even watching an upload of some dumbass playing through the hack recorded on VHS, you really get that same feeling.

When I was going through a really rough spot in my life back in early 2019, I actually listened to this exact mix of chillwave. I still vividly remember wearing the headphones while I was at school with this playing in the background, just kind of zoning out. It was certainly a vibe, and it's nice to listen to again every once in a while.

Windows96 is good to listen to when you're feeling emotional or just want to get lost in the moment. Many hours were spent listening to this with a pair of headphones in class just kind of zoning out. I still listen to certain parts of it while working on projects.

Here's one I found years ago. Not necessarily what you think of when you read "vaporwave", but still really good. It's by the same person who did the iconic Floral Shoppe. Reminds me of some early 90s Windows consumer programs, especially ones which used MIDI for music.

This is really nice! I wish it was on Bandcamp, because I'd pick it up within a heartbeat.

It's crazy to think that Undertale is going to be a decade old in less than 2 months. I remember when it was freshly out people were constantly raving about it everywhere and the various secrets hidden within, but I never got the opportunity to sit down and listen to the game's soundtrack until a couple of years later. I regret not listening to it sooner.

I have heard tracks from this game in my dreams, I have sat in the dark with headphones on and just vibed, I've programmed entire components of mods and plugins. Absolute masterpiece of a soundtrack.

TLDW Basically I'm a big fan of NDH, *styles (tekstyle, jumpstyle (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE ""JUMPSTYLE"" MIXES THAT ARE SOUND ALIKES TO YABUJIN THIS IS NOT JUMPSTYLE), hardstyle and alikes), Music Produced By Dre (Gold among dirt, literal genius) and Yegor Letov's music (MP "Communism", "Grazhdanskaya Oborona" etcetc).

This was made as a shitpost back in like 2016 to mock vaporwave, but ironically it ended up contributing to the genre instead. Who said meme music can't be good?

Luxury Elite is an absolute vibe, especially during rainy evenings.

One day I want to write a thread about my appreciation for the aesthetics and vibes of the 1980s. It's probably a sense of false nostalgia that I feel, but it's one of the longest standing obsessions I've had period.

Just re-listened to this banger. Still relevant today. Also wrapped in British humour (the puppets are from Spitting Image IIRC).

ETA: YT recommended me this more recent one too, also great
