This video, which definitely is the full embodiment of MLG, has now turned ten.

I must say, it was wild living through the MLG era. It definitely was the "brainrot" Gen Z grew up with. The most iconic parts were the Doritos, Mountain Dew, and Snoop Dogg. The illuminati, CoD, and the "xXUsernameXx" were also big. There were even MLG soundboards. I recall this time period really well. I'd say that the multiplayer game Agar.io was the next big thing after MLG.

Materialisimo, the creator of the video, has given some insight on X about the video:

It's wild how time flies. I definitely miss the MLG era, life was a lot simpler back then. Anyone else remember the god tier MLG era?

Here's another classic that'll be turning 11 years old in August:

What a time to be alive. Back in those days, I used to spend hours on the Xbox 360 playing Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops 2 with some friends of mine from middle school. I think I even had an MLG edit of a render of my skin set as my profile picture on the old ProBoards forums at some point. I still have a folder on my NAS somewhere of a bunch of those old sounds effects in an old backup, and I think we used to use a bunch of edits like these in Skype group chats whenever we'd prank call places like Club Penguin, McDonald's, or 1-800-FLOWERS.

You never think about how good things are when you're young and oblivious to the decaying world around you until it's far too late to go back.
