Telesphoreo pinged the Discord letting everyone online know that the server OS had been corrupted.
@here The server OS is completely corrupted. Thankfully all the data is intact and I do have backups. The server will be down for an extended period of time while I reinstall the OS and restore all of the data
The OS was corrupted due to a faulty upgrade from Debian 11 to 12. Many
Community Members attempted to show off under the guise of providing support to
Telesphoreo. However, the issue was so obscure, it required a full reinstall. A self-compiled version of OpenSSL was installed while running Debian 11. When upgrading to Debian 12, that self-compiled version did not work with the OpenSSH server. Despite efforts to revert to the standard version provided by Debian, every solution was unsuccessful. Thankfully, no data was lost from this incident. It took an entire day for the server to be restored. The server came back online on January 4, 2024 at 8:46 PM CST.
