With TotalFreedom transitioning to an anarchy gamemode, there are several changes that will be taking place across several domains: staff structure, rules, changes to master builder, and the introduction of private worlds.

Rules

This is, of course, the most important section: the rules. With anarchy, there will be no set, concrete rules. However, there are three things that players must follow that will ensure a safe, enjoyable experience.
  1. Don't break U.S. Law
  2. Don't break the Terms of Service of TotalFreedom's platforms (e.g., Discord).
  3. Staff members reserve the right to ban anyone with or without cause. Anyone who may be negatively impacting the server experience or causing disruption in any way can and will be removed.

Staff Structure and Appointing Process

With the transition to anarchy, the entire staff system is being changed. There will be no traditional application process: following a unanimous vote by server leadership, someone can be appointed to staff. Anarchy also requires a significantly smaller moderation team, so the entire staff will be capped at 10 total staff members.

And, unlike how it was in prior versions of TotalFreedom and current offshoots, staff confer no special privileges. There is no private adminworld, no admin-exclusive "joke/fun" commands, or anything that results in staff becoming a separate caste that is above the players. Being an admin is not a "gentleman's club," and they will be held to a high standard. Admins can and will be removed for inciting drama or "feeding the trolls". Admins will be expected to be professional in demanding situations. This does not mean you cannot have fun, but professionalism is a skill that is required when the job calls for it.

As for former staff, anyone who is a former staff member when the server ran a traditional "free-op" gamemode will be given a cosmetic "emeritus" role, but unless they are chosen to be staff by the leadership, the role will be cosmetic only and will also be given access to a special, private emeritus world as a thank-you for serving as staff on TotalFreedom in the past.

Private Worlds and Guilds

Anarchy will bring a new benefit that many players will appreciate: private worlds. While we will maintain a logging plugin (Oasis), griefing will be tolerated. Thus, the use of guilds and private worlds will ensure players can have a safe, grief-free area to build in. The world size will be 500,000 x 500,000. It is subject to deletion and backups are not guaranteed.

Changes to Master Builder

Lastly, the Master Builder title will be retained and will be expanded beyond just a simple title. There will continue to be a dedicated master builder world, and while details are currently limited, the program will be expanded upon. However, this is the place we recommend long-term builds stay as we intend to backup and preserve the master builder world.
